Konni

Konni is a popular training center for elephants in Kerala. Muthanga

Elephants roam freely here and tigers are sighted occasionally. Various species of deer, monkeys, birds etc also live here. The Reserve is also home to a small population of tigers, a profusion of birds, butterflies and insects. The trees and plants in the sanctuary are typical of
the south Indian moist deciduous forests and west coast semi evergreen forests. A drive along the road to Muthanga and further, offers chances to watch these roaming animals. Elephant rides are arranged by the Forest Department.

Tholpetty

Tholpetty located in the district of Wayanad. It is located very close to the famous Thirunelli temple. The sanctuary is home to 900 wild elephants, apart from bison, deer, wild squirrel, jungle cat, elephant and numerous birds. There we can enjoy silence of nature and beauty of wild through elephant rides and trekking

Thekkady

Thekkady located in the district of Idukki. Thekkady is famous for the Periyar wild life sanctuary. Periyar wild life sanctuary is one of the best places for viewing wild animals. The main attraction of the sanctuary is a lake formed by the Mullapperiyar dam across the Periyar river. This lake is an artificial one and the boating through this lake explores the real wild life in front of us. Facilities such as Elephant ride and trekking are also available inside the sanctuary.
