Ana chamayam is an exhibition of elephant accoutrements (‘Aana Chamayam') featured by Paramekkavu Devaswom at Thrissur Pooram at its Agrasala and An exhibition of elephant accoutrements and umbrellas made by the Thiruvambady Devaswom at the Sri Sankara Hall.40 sets of colourful umbrellas prepared for ‘Kudamattom' ceremony, ‘alavattom' and ‘venchamaram'. Of the 12-odd sets of specially-designed umbrellas, one will be displayed in ana chamayam. The Devaswoms keep the details of their specially-designed umbrellas a closely-guarded secret.
Fifteen sets of ‘nettipattam', ‘kalanchi', ‘pallamani' and ‘kachakayyar' were also be exhibited in this exhibition.Ana chamayam is a treat for the elephant lovers to watch.
